Aecon is seeking an Aggregates Coordinator to join our dynamic Civil East team and play a crucial role in our aggregates business. 

 

What You’ll Do Here:

Work with Aecon personnel as well as Consultants and Government Agency persons on the establishment to allow Fill importation to Aecon Properties as needed Establish and maintain the Site Fill Management System and ensure compliance with applicable best practices, regulations, Fill Management Plans (FMPs) and site-specific plans Provide reports and attend on-site meetings as required Manage data collection, storage and analysis Oversee daily Fill-Construction activities to ensure work is completed in compliance with all relevant client requirements as well as provincial and/or federal regulations Develop, implement, and monitor Fill programs and policies Provide advice to leadership regarding Fill matters as they relate to Aecon site activities Monitor Fill-Construction activities and evaluate compliance with applicable standards, documents and commitments Monitor and report any potential issues and recommendations for appropriate mitigation and corrective actions Provide training to employees and contractors on Fill-Construction awareness Draft, review and submit daily field reports, incident reports, and compliance audits Track key performance indicators and develop reports Work with project coordinators/managers, using interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed in accordance with an established scope of work Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging

 

What You Bring to the Team:

Technical diploma, B.Sc., or equivalent with appropriate qualifications for work in Canada A minimum of three years’ experience conducting site planning, development, environmental compliance, feasibility studies, and negotiating, activities Certification in Environmental or Natural Resource Planning specialty area preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience Experience working successfully in large, multi-disciplinary engineering design teams and heavy civil construction teams Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, coordinating resources as well as the ability to solve problems Strong knowledge of Provincial and Federal regulations, codes, permits and approvals, as well as their technical application Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, SharePoint) Be a champion of inclusion and diversity A valid driver’s license
