As an Agile Coach, you will:

Lead and mentor agile teams, guiding them through the adoption of Agile practices and methodologies.

Educate and support employees at all levels, including product owners, developers, leaders, and clinicians.

Advocate for Agile mindsets, behaviors, and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Provide thought leadership to drive cultural change and ensure a smooth transition towards an Agile mindset.

Use techniques that enhance collaboration, predictability, transparency, and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.

What you'll need:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related field

10+ years of project or product management experience including at least 8 years practical experience in roles within an agile team and within a scaling environment

Advanced Agile certification such as Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), ICP-ACC, Professional Scrum Master (PSM) II or other Agile related certifications

A passionate advocate for Agile methodologies with experience in coaching and mentoring teams.

Skilled in fostering collaboration and driving cultural change.

An excellent communicator who can engage and inspire employees at all levels.

Committed to continuous improvement and innovation.

Hybrid eligible, but candidates must reside in WI, MN, or IA at the time of hire, and should live within a reasonable driving distance to La Crosse, WI for frequent on-site visits.

Job Description:

The Agile Coach has primary responsibility to lead agile teams and educate and guide employees at all levels, including product owners, developers, leaders, and clinicians, on agile methodology.   This role will be an advocate for Agile mindsets, behaviors, and processes.  The Agile Coach is responsible for helping teams perform by instilling an Agile mindset and methodology through coaching, improving team processes, and championing continuous improvement. The Agile coach will provide thought leadership to drive cultural change and ensure a smooth transition towards the Agile mindset throughout Gundersen Health System. The Agile Coach must use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.

Major Responsibilities:

1.    Coaching and mentoring Agile teams and leaders on agile methodologies.
2.    Work with multiple teams, engaging with Product Owners, and developers to help build and reinforce the Agile mindset and to embed Agile principles in the day-to-day work.
3.    Supporting the development of Agile project metrics in Agile teams to track and monitor for indications of potential problem areas and assist teams in identifying and implementing solutions to address the problems
4.    Identify need and provide as necessary structured and ad-hoc training in Agile principles and practices for teams, stakeholders, and leaders.  
5.    Collaborate within the Agile Center of Excellence (ACoE) to develop enterprise-wide agile transformation capabilities – Portfolio Teams, Strategic Work Teams, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, and others.  
6.    Be an active participant in ongoing development of agile capabilities across different functional, operational, and business areas.
7.    Collaborate within ACoE to ensure development and execution of Agile transformation strategies within different portfolio and/or programs teams.
8.    Foster strong spirit of communication and collaboration between teams to align program goals, deliver final products, and ensure leadership transparency to impediments and progress.

9.    Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.
10.    Deliver routine reporting on agile activities and maturity.

Education and Learning:

REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Engineering or a related field

Work Experience:

REQUIRED

License and Certifications:

REQUIRED
