Arlluk Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Solutions subsidiary, is seeking skilled professionals to support the Defense Health Agency's Technology Support Branch (TSB) in providing flexible, agile delivery services for various Military Health System (MHS) applications. The role involves working on critical systems such as PCOS, CCQAS, DMHRSi, EAS IV, ESSENCE, and PHIMT, which are essential for managing healthcare claims, provider credentialing, human resources, cost allocation, disease surveillance, and health information management. The ideal candidate will contribute to application development and sustainment, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions across ten core IT domains, including configuration management, cybersecurity, digital transformation, software engineering, and application support. This position requires expertise in agile methodologies and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic military healthcare environment.
Arlluk Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Agile Coach to support our teams in implementing and improving agile practices within the Defense Health Agency. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for agile methodologies, with a proven track record of guiding teams through agile transformations and enhancing their performance. This role is critical in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and enabling our teams to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently in a complex military healthcare setting.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Agile Coach will be responsible for mentoring, training, and guiding teams in agile principles and practices. Key responsibilities include: Assess current team practices and develop strategies to implement or improve agile methodologies. Coach teams on agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, tailoring approaches to fit the unique needs of military healthcare projects. Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives. Mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members in their roles and responsibilities. Identify and remove impediments to team productivity and project progress. Collaborate with leadership to align agile practices with organizational goals and objectives. Develop and deliver agile training programs for team members and stakeholders. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across teams. Assist in the implementation of agile tools and metrics to measure and improve team performance. Support the integration of agile practices with existing project management frameworks and compliance requirements in the government sector. Education and Experience:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 10-12 years of experience in agile methodologies, or Master's degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years of experience in agile coaching, or PhD 5-7 years experience Required Skills and Competencies: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification Extensive experience in implementing and scaling agile methodologies in large organizations Strong knowledge of various agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, XP, and SAFe Excellent facilitation and presentation skills Proven ability to coach and mentor teams at various levels of agile maturity Experience in change management and organizational transformation Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Familiarity with agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, VersionOne) Understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps practices Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Desired Skills and Competencies: Experience working in government or military healthcare environments Advanced agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Knowledge of lean principles and their application in software development Experience with agile at scale frameworks like SAFe, LeSS, or Nexus Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and compliance requirements in government IT projects Background in software development or systems engineering Experience in data-driven decision making and agile metrics Knowledge of human-centered design and design thinking methodologies Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
