The Agile Coach for Investment Data Area will mentor and guide an Area and its teams/Squads in adopting and improving Agile practices. In your role, you will enhance Squad collaboration, efficiency, and adherence to Agile principles, facilitating continuous improvement and fostering a culture of innovation. By providing training, support, and strategic advice, Agile Coaches help the Area management and Squads to deliver high-quality products while adapting to changing business needs.

 

The Investment Data Area is the home for AllianzGI’s investment management related data products that all leverage on IDS, AllianzGI’s strategic partner for investment data services, and share a dependency amongst each other (e.g. Benchmark & Market Index Data, Issuer & Security Information, Investment Key Figures, Performance & Attribution Data, etc.).

 

As an Agile Coach you are embedded in AllianzGI’s Agile Center of Enablement (CoE) and responsible for one Product Area. In close collaboration with the Area Business Lead and Area Tech Lead, you play a key role in positively challenging agile teams to stay focused on business outcomes and delivering customer value. Embedding yourself within the teams using a hands-on approach to support Agile Masters and Squads for successful delivery. Taking the lead in developing the agile capabilities of the Area, you help the team to fully capitalise on the strengths of a scaled agile set-up and remain firmly on a path of continuous improvement and learning.

 

As an experienced change leader, you understand the strategic importance of nurturing a strong agile mindset and enduring agile ways of working across the organisation. Furthermore, you are capable of leading and supporting this journey, identifying opportunities, and removing roadblocks where required.

What you will do

 

Agile way of working: Identify and develop agile skills/capabilities across Squads, Chapters, and CoEs within the Area Agile role model: Foster the culture of self-organizing and autonomous agile teams and be the agile role model, guiding the teams in adoption of agile principles and values Agile impact: Enable Area Leads, Product Owners, Agile Masters and the teams/ Squads to deliver business impact, including development and implementation of agile metrics and reporting Driving: Drive Area level agile events such as the quarterly business review (QBR). As needed, participate in Squad events together with Agile Masters Coaching: Provide leadership and guidance for the entire Area as a supporter of the shared leadership team, working hand-in-hand with the Area Business Lead, Area Tech Lead, Chapter leads and Agile Masters Enablement: Coach and support Product Owners, Agile Masters, Chapter Leads, CoE Leads, and Tech- and Product Area Leads to live up to their target role profile Training: Coordinate and deliver training at all levels to increase agile awareness, the ability to deliver change, and help creating an agile mindset with different approaches Expedite: Facilitate Retrospectives, 1:1 sessions and workshops to continuously improve team dynamics and help to tackle impediments that cannot be resolved by the Squads and teams alone Drive Improvement and Transformation: Support the organization’s transition, drive continuous improvement and learning, and align with the ONE target vision

 

What you bring

 

Educational Background: Excellent university degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with a strong understanding of data-driven business strategies Asset Management Expertise: Deep passion for financial markets and a comprehensive understanding of the Asset Management value chain, front-to-back is a differentiator Enabling Experience: 10+ years of work experience in an enabling role in a business, consulting or IT related role Agile Expertise: Proven track record in agile way of working, agile methodology and frameworks like SAFe, Kanban, LeSS, Design Thinking or other Agile certification: An agile certification (e.g. Product Owner, Scrum Master, Agile Project Management, Kanban, etc.) and/or the equivalent hands-on experience in operationalising scaled agile frameworks Change Experience: Proven track record in driving (agile) transformation in organisations, building teams and driving continuous improvement (incl. providing training and coaching) Data Proficiency: Significant experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or similar roles, with a focus on leveraging data to drive business outcomes is a differentiator Agile thinking: A firm understanding of the Agile manifesto and the principles behind it as well as the ability to translate these principles in the context of business product/service development Strategic Thinking: Ability to support the development of Area and Product strategy, vision and roadmaps with business goals in collaboration with Area leadership and cross-functional stakeholders from in and outside the Area Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with a proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues Enabling: Expert facilitator, coaching and mentoring (agile) skills and the ability to apply different techniques to create engagement and keep teams focused on the organisational goals Encouraging: The dedication to encourage an environment in which people share information and communicate clearly, candidly and openly to benefit the Area and the broader organisation Tooling: Expert in applying JIRA, Confluence and further agile tool set (e.g., Miro) to support rapid and high-quality delivery Planning, Budgeting and Backlog Prioritization: Skill in driving quarterly planning cycles, managing budgets, and preparing agile decision making Performance Monitoring: Proficiency in developing and tracking OKRs and KPIs to deliver business impact Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to coordinate, communicate, and align with diverse stakeholders, incl. conflict resolution Data Knowledge: Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and relevant technologies Language Skills: Fluent in English, with additional languages considered an advantage
