Job Summary

Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks an Agile Developer V to contribute to the development, design, testing, and deployment of system functionality. Specific duties include: design and develop computer programs and support the work of junior staff; perform evaluation of packaged software; transform and translate policy data during PolicyCenter Integrations with other systems; conduct system studies to analyze and evaluate manual and computerized processes to improve efficiency; develop techniques for automating processes; conduct Rough Order of Magnitude for development of new applications and review work of others; determine the need for system security, backup/recovery, data conversion, plan and control development, testing, and implementation of systems and manage technical activities; document and implement programs according to installation standards and conventions; quality checks program code, related objects and documentation; respond to Production Support issues; analyze programs to ensure that they efficiently use computer and storage resources; analyze and document the requirements and approaches to data conversion and data Modeling; research and develop techniques for automation; and perform final evaluation of packaged software. Position requires GW Certified Ace - PolicyCenter Configuration and GW Certified Specialist - InsuranceSuite Integration certifications. Option to work remotely with required travel to local offices as needed, if within 50 miles of remote worksite

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Manger - Projects, Product Consultant – Technical, Senior Professional - System Analyst, Professional 2 - System Analyst, or similar position contributing to the development, design, testing, and deployment of system functionality. Must have 5 years of experience working with each of the following: Property and Casualty industry; Java; J2EE; Spring; Spring Boot; Hibernate; and Web Services. Must also have 4 years of experience working with each of the following: Guidewire Insurance Suite; Policy Center; Integration; and Gosu. Additionally, specific experience must include 3 years working with each of the following: UML; and Oracle DB. Must have GW Certified Ace - PolicyCenter Configuration and GW Certified Specialist - InsuranceSuite Integration certifications. Option to work remotely with required travel to local offices as needed, if within 50 miles of remote worksite.
