Apply to join Freddie Mac’s growing Loan Advisor (LA) development team as our new Developer. The team supports an interesting mix of legacy and cloud-based technologies within Single-Family IT’s Business Technology Office (BTO) group.

The SF Underwriting BTO is responsible for technology strategy, delivery and ongoing support for Freddie Mac’s Underwriting applications and services. Our focus is on continuing the mission to transform our systems and processes into resilient, efficient, and flexible platforms by adopting innovative, cloud-native solutions to support industry needs and aligning with our corporate mandates and data strategy!

Your Impact:

Development & Execution

Analyze the Business requirements and come-up with design options that aligns with the technical roadmap and build proof of concepts as needed

Design and develop Micro Services based solutions using Java & SpringBoot frameworks, Docker and Openshift

Assess opportunities for application & process improvements, optimizations & performance tuning

Produce high quality design artifacts that cover all aspects of sound architecture

Follow established methodology and controls guidelines. Maintain agility and quality throughout development process

Conduct hands-on programming, independently, with minimal guidance in support of multiple efforts as required in the division

Provide production support that includes evaluating defects, investigating root cause and coming up with solutions to address the defects

Develop testing scripts for the applications to deliver a stable, high-quality product to Production

DevOps

Design scaling strategies and develops automation scripts and solutions

Provide guidance on build automation using Dockers & Containers, and Orchestration technologies like OpenShift/Kubernetes/EKS and Atlassian tool suite

Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related

At least 7 years of experience in software development (with Bachelor’s Degree)

Proficient in following:Programming Languages: Java, SpringBootQuery Language: MQL (MongoDB), SQL (RDBMS)Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, OCP 4.xFront-end languages: Angular, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScriptTools: Eclipse, IntelliJ, VSCodeVersioning Control: BitbucketOthers: JUnit, Gradle, JSON, Restful WebServices, GraphQL, ELK, Splunk, Kafka, AMQ, JMS, XML/XSD, Dynatrace

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $127,000 - $191,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
