Position Overview:Freddie Mac has an exciting opportunity for an Agile Development, Sr. to contribute to the development and production support of the Single Family Servicing BTO. Servicing applications are critical in fulfilling Freddie Mac's Servicing needs with Freddie Mac’s Servicers and investors. We are seeking a motivated individual who can work on trouble shooting issues to drive to root cause and solution, design and develop enhancements to the software applications on a Java, Angular, Spring Boot, Restful and GraphQL API's and AWS cloud platform. As a senior member of the IT team, the individual would be responsible for multi-tasking across multiple projects and production issues. The individual would champion technology and tools changes/improvements that improve delivery processes. Be a role model and a technical mentor to the junior and midlevel developers. Work collaboratively with other open minded, technology savvy and dedicated members.
We build and enhance software applications required for mandatory reporting of Freddie Mac’s mortgage loan data to Federal Housing Finance Agency.
• Partner with Product and Business team members to ensure high quality product is developed and released into production.
• Work closely with Architecture, Stakeholders, Operations Partners, and Business Product teams to specify and refine solutions and practices.
• Evolve a DevOps culture to provide high quality, continuous operations, and ongoing support ensuring critical service level metrics, customer requirements and financial objectives.
• Driver for modernization of Freddie Mac’s 5000+ customers to release small incremental changes to production at 5x pace.
Your Impact:Design, develop and test innovative and automation solutions in the areas of data engineering including technology implementations using Agile construct.
· Has experience working with partners and teammates to solidify solution design, contribute to design working sessions, and outline solution path for new capability development.
· Supporting DevOps pipeline offerings for deployment of microservices into EKS and OpenShift cluster ecosystems for mid to large sized enterprise environments
· Support applications, including providing fixes to production defects and making enhancements.
· Has experience within the Kubernetes platform and has familiarity with Continuous Deployment tools such as Spinnaker and Helm for deployment of workloads, and has understanding of service communication technologies such as Istio
· Experience in source code management, repository management and package management with tools such as; JFrog Artifactory, Bitbucket, and Helm for Kubernetes Package management
· Has proven ability to collaborate with partner teams and peer to support technology implementation and solution delivery in ecosystems using; AWS, Elastisearch, Logstache, Kibana, Open Policy Agent (OPA), Horizontal Pod Autoscaler (HPA), Docker & containerized workloads, Service Mesh tools, Information Security tools such as HashiCorp Vault and CyberArk for Credentials Management
· Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices, familiar in building CI/CD pipelines and practicing Test Driven Development (TDD) for writing test case scenarios for automated testing.
· Possesses eagerness to explore new technologies to innovate, solve problems, perform proof-of-concepts, & conduct exploratory research.
· Has experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver features and products; for delivery of capabilities to large user populations.
• Provide level of effort required for development and testing of software components.
• Quickly learn new and legacy technologies and paradigms to deploy cutting edge solutions.
• Quickly evaluate defects, investigate causes and come up with solutions to address defects.
• Write automated test scripts and test code written by peer developers.
• Provide production support and providing clear communication on the resolution of incidents.
• Independently collaborate with upstream/downstream and IT support teams to lead conversations, implement solutions and resolve issue
Qualifications:8-10 years of experience in Solution, Design and Development of web applications using the Java EE, Spring Boot, Angular 17, Selenium, Control M, SQL, GraphQL, Kafka, and AWS Cloud development
DevOps, Agile delivery experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience in working with Aurora Postgres databases
Integration experience using Web Services and Restful API's
Expert in tuning all tiers of applications on JEE platform.
Hands-on experience with Build and Deployment tools and languages - Shell script,
Good knowledge of database concepts with working knowledge on SQL and GraphQL and Kafka
Innovative in providing solutions, likes to take on challenges with calculated risk.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $127,000 - $191,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
