Position Overview:
As an Agile Coach/Leader, your primary responsibility is to guide and support teams, departments, or organizations in adopting and implementing agile methodologies and practices. You will serve as a catalyst for change, helping individuals and teams develop a culture of agility, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your role involves coaching, mentoring, and facilitating agile practices to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Transformation: Drive the agile transformation strategy, assess the organization's readiness for agile practices, and create a roadmap for adoption.Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to individuals, teams, and leaders on agile principles, values, and practices. Help them understand and embrace agile mindset and methodologies.Facilitation: Facilitate agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and decision-making within the team.Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work closely with teams to implement agile frameworks and methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean. Encourage experimentation and adaptation to optimize team performance.Team Empowerment: Foster a self-organizing and high-performing team culture by encouraging autonomy, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration. Help teams identify and remove obstacles to ensure smooth progress and delivery of value.Agile Metrics and Reporting: Define, track, and analyze key agile metrics to measure team and organizational performance. Provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.Training and Education: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to educate individuals and teams about agile concepts, tools, and techniques. Promote continuous learning and improvement.Change Management: Act as a change agent to promote the agile mindset and cultural transformation across the organization. Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to align their expectations and ensure their commitment to the agile journey.Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including executives, product owners, and external partners, to ensure alignment, collaboration, and support for agile initiatives.Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging agile practices, and methodologies. Continuously assess and refine agile coaching approaches and strategies to enhance effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong understanding of agile principles, values, and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe).Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or in a similar role.Excellent coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills.Strong leadership and communication skills to influence and inspire teams and stakeholders.Ability to navigate and resolve conflicts within teams and across departments.Knowledge of agile metrics and tools for tracking team and organizational performance.Experience in agile transformation and change management.Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or Agile Certified Coach (ACC) or SAFe Practitioner (SP) / SAFe Practitioner Consultant (SPC) are desirable.Experience in software development or project management is an advantage.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Business, or Engineering) is preferred.
