Short DescriptionCooper University Health Care is growing in leaps and bounds, and the Information Technology department is delivering the technology to propel us forward. That has created the need for driven and capable IT leaders to lead the charge.
The IT Program Manager position will focus on the implementation of new clinical systems, starting with Epic’s Cardiovascular Information System, Cupid. Cupid will support cardiology workflows across the continuum of care, including invasive and non-invasive procedures. It is designed to work in combination with our Imaging systems, such as PACS, ECG, etc.
As IT Program Manager, you’ll combine your project management skills and technology know-how to manage the deployment of hardware, software, workflows, testing strategies, third party integrations, and more. This role will work across multiple teams to develop a comprehensive planning and go-live strategy through mid-2027 and beyond.

What you'll do:
• Manage the overall application implementation, integration, testing, and go-live plan for large programs, beginning with Cupid
• Keep all stakeholders informed and engaged from C-Suite and business partners to technical and scrum teams
• Work across multiple committees, stakeholders, and scrum teams to understand and manage needs, risks, dependencies, and constraints.
• Coordinate work performed by the various areas of IT in support of clinical and business functions.
• Coordinate with the technical project manager who will manage the ordering and installation of equipment.
• Function as the point of contact for Information Technology. Representing IT in planning sessions with business leadership.
• Create and maintain an overall IT project plan to track the many IT activities required to make this implementation and other IT initiatives a success.
Experience Required
7-10 years' work experience required.
What qualifications we are looking for:
• Strong project management skills.
• 5+ years in a healthcare environment
• Knowledge of workflows in cardiology and procedural areas
• Knowledge of Epic project management philosophy
• Experience working with Agile development teams and Scrum methodology
• Expertise in Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Creative problem-solving abilities
High School Graduate/GED required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
License/Certification RequirementsCertified Scrum Master (Scrum Alliance), Agile Project Management (IC Agile) or Agile Certified Practitioner (Project Management Institute) desired.
Special Requirements 10-15 years of relevant Agile Program Management experience required in lieu of Bachelors’ Degree.The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. The program manager should be motivated by a desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.Information Technology experience in a Health Care environment preferred.7-10 years of traditional Waterfall IT project management experience, including 5 or more years managing enterprise projects required.Experience managing complex programs required. Coaching skills and ability to motivate teams required. Exceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, and organization required.
