Agile Team Lead Data Engineer

To address the growing demands within the Department of Defense, SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic **Systems Engineer** to perform **Data Engineering** support for Data & AI Infrastructure Management of our Digital and AI Team as we embark on a large initiative to lead the design and operate integrated Enterprise IT solutions that deliver AI-enabled capabilities and enable data-driven decision making to missions across the Department, Services, and Combatant Commands. The Ideal candidate will be adept at managing customer relationships, driving operational excellence, and fostering continuous improvement across all service areas. **Core** **Responsibilities** + Performs Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA). + Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. + Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications. + Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. + Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations. + Performs the pre-analytics areas of data collection and understanding, data cleansing and integration, and data storage and retrieval. + Determines the appropriate analytics based on the data and the desired outcomes, using techniques including feature detection, statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, and business intelligence. + Interprets the validity of results and communicates the meaning of those results. + Familiar with data wrangling, analytics, and visualization software and programming languages, including analytics methods for big data. **Qualifications** + Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. + Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS. + Experience working in an Agile Community, using Agile methodology for product and project management. + Experience working in a DoD environment supporting one of the Armed Forces in an enterprise IT environment, across multiple domains and various clearance levels. + SEC+ certification or similar certification to meet DoD 8140 (formerly DoD 8570) requirements. + Agile Certification + US citizenship and TS/SCI security clearance is required. **Preferred** **Qualifications** **:** + ITIL Certification + PMP Certification + Scrum Certification + Experience working with the Advana System/Platform + AWS AI Practitioner Certification + Cloud experience or Certification **Join SAIC:**  Be a part of a team that's passionate about the power of AI to transform the public sector. **Apply Now:**  Interested candidates with a drive for innovation are encouraged to apply.
