Agile Team Manager, Managing Director

Summary

The Agile Team Manager is responsible for leading a diverse, cross-functional group of Human Resource professionals to develop optimal solutions for complex, high-priority projects to achieve the goals of State Street and the Global Human Resources (GHR) function. This role will manage a dedicated team of project consultants in addition to leading ad hoc GHR resources temporarily assigned from COEs as required to complete project objectives. The Agile Team Manager will lead the scoping of projects and determine staffing needs, assembling the necessary resourcing, and overseeing execution to bring projects to implementation or transition to the business-as-usual environment. Additionally, the Agile Team Manager will personally lead some of the most complex, critical projects taking place in GHR. This role will also partner with the GHR Operating Group to ensure alignment with GHR governance and prioritization, playing a pivotal role in the accomplishment of GHR goals.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of dedicated and ad hoc resources to conduct key GHR projects, removing obstacles and escalating as appropriateEmploy a consultative approach to project management with a focus on business analysis, data analysis, project coordination/administrationLead and manage projects from idea to implementation or transition to BAU, handling all aspects of the project life cyclePartner with project sponsors and key stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements and manage expectationsPlan, schedule, and track project timelines, deliverables and budget as appropriate, including monitoring and reporting on progress, managing any changes to scope and timeline, and identifying and mitigating risksLead project intake, scoping, resource assignments and management of team capacityProvide direction and guidance to project team members to promote their successful execution of projectsEmploy the use of relevant project best practices and methodologies, including Agile and Lean

Requirements and Qualifications

Extensive experience at the leadership level in consulting, program management and project methodologiesStrong track record of successfully managing complex projects across all stages of the project life cycle including transitioning them to BAUDemonstrated ability to creatively problem-solve, quickly learn new technologies and processes, and be resourceful with limited guidanceAbility to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communication skills, client service orientation and ability to influenceBachelor’s degree or relevant experience in a relevant fieldMyWorkday experience is a plusCandidates from all locations will be considered

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
