About the role:
Roles are available at all 4 of our Adelaide plants: Lonsdale, Port Adelaide, Magill and SmithfieldMost days will start between 4am and 6:30am and drivers can do up to and over 10 hours per day, and around 50 – 55 hours per week. Saturday work is generally available, paid at overtime ratesWe pay a base rate and once you go past your regular hours in one day the first two after that will be at time and a half. If you do more than 2 hours overtime in a day, you go to double time. Meal allowances are generally paid after 10 hours in one shiftAs we mentioned, driving an Agi is like being a Customer Service Agent on wheels. You will be dealing with lots of different personalities every day, so you need to be comfortable interacting with people you haven’t met beforeWe provide cutting edge technology to not only keep you safe whilst driving, but also to help you map your routes and keep track of your loadsAll new starts go through a 10-day training program before we let you loose by yourself
About you:
Minimum of HR license (essential) with previous driving experience (preferred)You enjoy meeting people and having a chat with them when you’re onsiteYou prefer variety in your working life. No two days are ever the same when you’re driving one of our Agi trucksYou take pride in the appearance of your truck. Keep it clean, give it a wash and present the best image of our company. You are a mobile billboard and people notice a dirty truckAble to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test (random testing is also conducted on all Heidelberg Materials Australia sites)Some of our trucks have driver weight limits on their seats and seatbelts.
