AgriBusiness Technology Program Senior Director - Boise, ID Location: Boise, ID, US, 83702-6924 The J.R. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture. **Summary** The role will collaborate closely with the Technology & Data Science (T&DS) organization, and cross-functionally across AgriBusiness, to develop and execute a holistic, focused program of technology work that supports our business goals and strategies. This leader will be responsible for defining and organizing the program of initiatives and acting as a single point of contact for all AgriBusiness Stakeholders and Technology and Data Science (T&DS) functions. A key responsibility of the leader will be to engage the AgriBusiness Leadership Team in a regular cadence of strategic evaluation, planning, engagement and execution to ensure alignment of all initiatives, business or technology. This leader will balance the overall AgriBusiness capability roadmap, business priorities and mobilize business resources to deliver on the respective initiatives. The leader will manage a team that is organized into three functions: + **Program Management** : Developing program strategy, business resource plans, and metrics for all work within AgriBusiness program. Integrate relevant program activities into Simplot Technology and Data Science (T&DS) operating model with a focus on Agile delivery methodology. Providing program analysis and facilitate decision making. + **Business Process** : Translating business needs and initiatives that involve technology into actionable projects while ensuring benefits are fully realized by end users. Leading release and stabilization and developing expertise on all business capabilities delivered by new technologies, such that their value can be realized. + **Reporting and Analytics** : Developing and executing a comprehensive reporting and analytics strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Defines and plans reporting and analytics work. Identifies uses for AI opportunities within AgriBusiness. **Key Responsibilities** **Strategic Alignment** + Collaborate with business leaders to understand business goals and objectives. + Translate high-level strategies into actionable frameworks and outcomes. + Ensure alignment between business strategy, processes and operations, and T&DS Delivery Teams + Identify and document the organization’s critical and essential business capabilities. + Map capabilities to processes, people, technology, and data. + Define how capabilities evolve to desired maturity to meet future business needs. **Innovation and Market Analysis** + Stay abreast of emerging business capabilities and technology trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform strategy and identify new opportunities. + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities + Conduct regular market and technology assessments to ensure the company remains at the forefront of industry developments. **Roadmap Development and Management:** + Take critical initiatives from idea to shovel-ready executable projects, including project team structure, program strategy, trade-off negotiations against competing priorities or constraints. + Create detailed roadmaps for business transformation initiatives. + Prioritize and sequence activities to ensure smooth implementation. + Monitor progress and adjust as needed. **Create and maintain a management system in partnership with T&DS to plan to deliver business capabilities.** + Business capacity planning and expectation management + Training and education + User story creation + Metrics and performance reporting + Effective program governance + Cadence of strategic planning, and execution activities involving executive and operating stakeholders **Lead or participate in cross functional teams in the execution of critical initiatives** + Drive business engagement to complement T&DS technology delivery teams + Proactively identify and resolve program level decisions + Regularly assess and report on the effectiveness of implemented changes. **Typical Education** Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university Master’s degree (M.A. or M.S.) or equivalent (not essential but strongly encouraged) **Relevant Experience** 10+ years related experience and/or training **Other Information** Effective performers will be students of all aspects of modern information technology: trends, capabilities, and operability across technology platforms.
