Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will ensure the mechanical and electrical functionality of our plant and field equipment while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, state, federal, and company guidelines. In this hands-on role, you'll inspect, maintain, modify, fabricate, and repair agricultural machinery and systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to reduce downtime and costs. You'll also perform routine and emergency maintenance, keep detailed records in our CMMS system, and ensure clean, organized workspaces that meet food safety standards. Working closely with project managers, contractors, and engineers, you'll provide technical expertise while staying up to date on OSHA, NEC/70E, and other regulations. A valid forklift license is required, and you may occasionally oversee temporary contract workers.
Qualifications:
Must demonstrate commitment to personal, product, asset, and site safety. Must proactively follow all PPE requirements, safety policies, and safety regulations. Must demonstrate electromechanical aptitude, technical proficiency, and consistent attention to detail. Must display work-related initiative, independence, and self-motivation to work with minimal supervision. Must possess own tools to safely perform assigned tasks. Must comprehend mechanical drawings, electrical prints, asset schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
Skills:
Experience with, or training on, working safely with 480-volt 3-phase power.Basic knowledge of power distribution, control wiring, and related components.Basic understanding of PLC functions.Basic understanding of VFD functionality and servo or process controllers.Basic electrical troubleshooting and one-for-one component replacement skills, including methods to acknowledge and interpret basic VFD faults. This position is not intended to include PLC, VFD, servo, or instrumentation installation or programming. Must be capable of communicating complex and technical operational and procedural data in terms understood by non-technical operators both verbally and in written form. Must occasionally work outdoors, exposed to environmental conditions, intense noise, chemicals, and fumes. Job tasks will occasionally require extensive physical effort in awkward positions.
