Summary

POSITION INFORMATION Position summary: The EMS AHA Community Education Specialist is a professional caregiver who plans and provides staff and community services and teaching. Acts as a liaison between the Health Center, the training sites, instructors and communities. The AHA EMS Training Specialist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriately to both clinical and lay persons. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare profession or Certified Paramedic in the State of Ohio.
Required length and type of experience: Minimum of 2 years hospital or EMS field experience. Minimum of one year experience as Training Center faculty, lead instructor or EMS/CE Instructor.
Required licensure, certification or registry: Instructor level certification for BLS, PALS, ACLS, First Aid and Ohio EMS/CE Instructor. Preferred certification in ITLS.
