**Overview** AdventHealth Neurology in Orlando is in search of a neurology hospitalist advanced practice provider to provide care to our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate would have some sort of exposure to Neurology whether as an RN or having experience as a provider. **General Summary:** The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for: + Performing history, physical examinations as needed and monitors neurology patients in an inpatient setting. Assists during procedures when requested. + Collaborating with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients. + Display a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth. + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public. + Performs physical examinations of hospital patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, pre & post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding and discharging of patients per hospital protocol. + Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc + Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed. + Collaborates with attending physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff. + Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth. **Schedule Details:** + Campuses covered Winter Park and Orlando South + 7 days on 7 days off - Call as determined with physician **Knowledge and Skills Required:** + Team player + Strong communication skills + Willingness to learn and grow + Flexible and adaptable to change **Education and Experience Required:** + Master’s degree in Nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies + 0-2 years of experience as a provider in Neurology (preferred) + Previous Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience is required 1 -2 years + Prefer 2 years of inpatient based medicine, preferably in Internal Medicine **Licensure, Certification, and Registration:** + Master’s Degree in Nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies + Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license + Certification through the ANCC, AANP or NCCPA (or equivalent certification body) + Current BLS required **Category:** Physician Services **Req ID:** ORL-2024-A6-NSI-NeuHosp-New We are an equal opportunity employer and do not tolerate discrimination based on race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age or disability/handicap with respect to recruitment, selection, placement, promotion, wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment.
