Job Summary
The HVAC Foreman is responsible for overseeing HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair activities at commercial facilities. This role includes leadership, team coordination, and ensuring quality, safety, and cost-efficiency in all HVAC mechanical services. The HVAC Foreman directs a team of HVAC mechanics, ensuring compliance with applicable Florida State statutes, including those related to chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) exchange certifications. The position requires an in-depth understanding of HVAC systems, refrigerants, pipefitting, structural layout, and fabrication. The HVAC Foreman ensures the timely and successful completion of projects while maintaining high standards of service.

Roles and Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and manage a team of HVAC mechanics, ensuring all tasks are completed according to specifications and within time and budget constraints.Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including compressors, condensers, ventilation fans, and air conditioning units.Ensure the HVAC team complies with all safety regulations and Florida State certifications, including CFC handling and environmental-control requirements.Coordinate and implement all aspects of HVAC system installation, service, and repair, using blueprints, engineering specifications, and design guidelines.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and system failures in HVAC equipment.Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork, piping, and system components using welding equipment and metalworking tools.Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safe storage.Train and mentor HVAC mechanics, providing hands-on guidance and ensuring continuous skill development.Perform quality control inspections and address any issues related to system performance and compliance.Prepare and submit service reports, including maintenance logs, status updates, and work completion documentation.Basic Qualifications
Certified HVAC Technician with active Florida State HVAC Certification or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.Strong understanding of refrigeration theory, air conditioning systems, and HVAC controls.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.Knowledge of applicable safety standards and environmental regulations, including CFC exchange.Preferred Qualifications
Previous supervisory or foreman experience leading HVAC teams.Familiarity with high-capacity air conditioning systems, including those exceeding 20 tons.Advanced certification in specialized HVAC systems or refrigerants (e.g., EPA Section 608 certification).KBR Benefits
