Job Summary
The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial settings. Under direct supervision, the technician follows daily work assignments and ensures tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include handling chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) exchanges per Florida State certification requirements, setting up work sites, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The role requires physical activity, including moderate to heavy lifting, and adherence to work schedules and instructions. A strong focus on quality and attention to detail is essential to perform assigned tasks effectively.

Roles and Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including troubleshooting issues and replacing faulty components.
Handle chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) exchanges in compliance with Florida State statutes or equivalent certifications.
Assist in planning and setting up work sites, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are available and properly organized.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain accurate service records and logs, documenting all work performed.
Follow detailed instructions and documentation to execute work plans effectively and safely.
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform cleaning, organizing, and general maintenance of tools, work areas, and equipment.
Support the coordination of material and equipment movement to job sites as needed.
Lift, carry, and maneuver materials or equipment as required for job completion.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, or repair.
Florida State HVAC certification or equivalent for chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) exchanges.
Familiarity with HVAC safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Physical ability to lift and move moderate to heavy materials and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerants.
Experience with HVAC systems in commercial or industrial environments.
Training or certification in advanced HVAC technologies or controls.
