The NSS Software Center (SWC) team at Leidos currently has an opening for an AI Development Engineer to work with our collaborative and innovation driven team. This position will assist in building cutting edge solutions to solve complex problems with the right technologies, working through an agile development and release process to support critical customer mission goals. Specifically, they will support the adoption and incorporation of Gen AI-assisted development workflows into software programs across the national security space. They will also support research, engineering, and development of innovative solutions to support operational missions. This work includes engineering robust infrastructure, end-point capabilities, and cloud implementations. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team. This position is eligible for full-time telework, with occasional in-person collaboration events. Local to the National Capital Region is preferred.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform software analysis, design, development and test of specific requirements related to AI-Assisted development.Work with AWS and Azure and the deployment of applications in cloud environmentsWork with container platforms and serverless architecturesWork with an Agile software development team to deliver softwareEmploy an iterative/agile development process in interactive prototypingTake input from multiple sources and integrating it into coherent softwareApply understanding of technical issues surrounding the designing, building and testing of software development kits supporting mobile applications and cloud platforms and frameworksApply research skills to identify various methods and solutions to complex software challenges
 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree with  2+ years of experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirementsDebug existing software and correct defectsExcellent problem solving and analysis skills, ability to use resources and critical thinking to help solve problems as they ariseExperience with Git, Gitlab or GitHubExperience with automated provisioning and configuration tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar technologies Experience working with Agile Software teams, experience participating in Scrum CeremoniesAbility to obtain TS/SCI security clearanceUS citizenship is required for this position

Pay Range:Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
