As part of our forward-thinking team, you'll play a key role in developing and analyzing innovative systems for space platforms, ensuring they are resilient to electromagnetic environmental effects (E3). This role will allow you to apply your engineering expertise in electromagnetic compatibility, interference, and vulnerability while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the full lifecycle of space systems—from concept to orbit.
What You’ll Be Doing: Design & Development: Work on diverse engineering projects across multiple space system programs, developing and analyzing systems with a focus on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and interference (EMI). Lead E3 Requirements & Analysis: Write, interpret, and allocate electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) requirements to all design levels and perform detailed analyses to optimize system designs. Collaborate & Advise: Present at design reviews and provide technical guidance to both internal and external stakeholders regarding E3 concerns. Innovate & Improve: Develop E3 design guidelines, create models, and provide solutions for components, subsystems, and systems through cutting-edge EMI principles. Test & Review: Prepare, review, and participate in E3 test procedures, reports, technical analyses, and control plans while engaging in design reviews to ensure optimal EMC performance. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field. Strong background in electromagnetic environmental effects, including EMI, EMC, ESD, EMP, and other E3 disciplines. Experience with systems engineering processes and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Proficient in writing technical documents such as test reports, design guidelines, and analysis procedures. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field. Hands-on experience with space system programs and components. Familiarity with E3-related software tools and modeling techniques. Knowledge of electromagnetic shielding, EMI filters, and associated design practices. Pay Details: $60.36 to $84.06 per hour
