Help advance the science and technology of intelligent machines 2. Contribute to research that enables learning the semantics of data 3. Lead research to advance the science and technology of deep learning 4. Work on research projects, strategies, and problems of moderate to high complexity and scope. Can identify and define both short & medium term objectives 5. Influence progress of relevant research communities by producing publications 6. Establish connection with cross-functional partners and contribute research with the goal of applying to Meta's product development 7. Design policies, processes, procedures, methods, tests, and/or components, from the ground up for end-to-end systems **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 8. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta. 9. Ph.D. in machine learning, AI, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, or related technical fields 10. Proven track record of consistent publication and citation history 11. Experience in solving modeling problems using AI/ML approaches 12. Experience in applying research to production problems 13. Experience presenting research for public audiences and peers 14. Experience in developing and debugging in Python, C/C++, or C# 15. Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment 16. Individuals in this role are expected to be recognized experts in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computational statistics, particularly including areas such as deep learning and data representation, sequential decision making, graph learning, reinforcement learning. **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 17. 2+ years of work experience post PhD in a university, industry, or government lab(s), in a role with primary emphasis on AI research. 18. Experience in working with large scale recommendation systems such as ads, content recommendation, etc. 19. First-author publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI). 20. Experience with interdisciplinary and/or cross-organization collaboration. 21.
