If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to take the reins of a groundbreaking project at Medpace.
We are currently seeking a professional with direct experience implementing large language models (LLMs) with interactive artificial intelligence (AI). Skills and training in natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning will be critical for this role. This professional will be expected to lead the fine-tuning of a privately-hosted LLM. This professional will work collaboratively with business teams, information technology (IT), and data science teams to design the roadmap for how an LLM can improve efficiency of company processes. Applicants should have sufficient technical skills to lead this project independently and to train technical teams for support.
Responsibilities Implement a private, large language model, fine-tuned based on both structured and text-based data inputsIntegrate artificial intelligence to support a chatbot feature to interact with the LLMContribute to data architecture review, and support structural changes as needed Support departmental process improvement initiatives; andParticipate in training and development of more junior team members Qualifications Masters or PhD in engineering, computer or data science, or related field. Proven experience implementing and fine-tuning Large Language Models for interactive AI applications (either >1 year post-graduate experience, or PhD dissertation experience) Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and deep learning. Technical proficiency in programming languages and frameworks commonly used in NLP and AI (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and mentor technical teams. A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP and AI technologies. Analytical thinker with great attention to detail.
