SCOPE OF ROLE

The Regal Rexnord Information Technology Internship Program is a fulltime, 10-week paid internship at our Grafton and Milwaukee offices starting June 2025.

We believe in nurturing young talent and providing them with hands-on experience to shape their careers. We are seeking a highly motivated AI Summer Intern to join our team and assist our Chief Data Scientist in driving our digital transformation initiatives. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for a student with a passion for artificial intelligence, data analytics, and technology to gain hands-on experience in a real-world business environment.

This internship will provide students an opportunity to gain a breadth of knowledge and experiences across our IT organization. Beyond the “learn by doing” training structure, the program cultivates excellence in communication skills via formal report-outs to peers and senior Digital and IT leadership and regularly scheduled mentor meetings with program leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the Chief Data Scientist to analyze business requirements and identify opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and AI for improving various aspects of our operations.Assist in designing, developing, and implementing AI models, algorithms, and solutions to address specific business challenges and opportunities.Conduct research on emerging trends, tools, and techniques in AI, machine learning, and data science to enhance our capabilities and stay ahead of the curve.Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems, processes, and workflows, ensuring seamless adoption and scalability.Support data collection, preprocessing, and cleansing efforts to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of data used for training and validation.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, iterate on solutions, and continuously improve the performance and effectiveness of AI models and applications.Assist in documenting processes, methodologies, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and transfer within the organization.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program with a Computer Science/Information Systems or related majorGPA of 3.2 or higherFamiliarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit Learn)Familiarity with Python, SQL and PowerBI preferredBasic understanding of data analytics and statistical methodsAbility to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusionsAre eager to learn, adaptable, and have excellent problem-solving skillSelf-starter and idea generator Desire to learn and contribute Good oral and written communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsProven capability to manage multiple priorities and handle yourself professionally
