Key Responsibilities-Key member of the Centre of Excellence (CoE) responsible for scoping, designing, and creating AI-driven solutions, aligned with Kent’s vision of establishing an AI Factory.Collaborate with an AI partner company to develop AI solutions using Microsoft Azure services like Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and Databricks.Work with global stakeholders identified through the AI Network to prioritise and execute AI initiatives that address operational challenges.Lead AI solutions design, ensuring the architecture is scalable, secure, and optimised for performance.Leverage Generative AI (Gen AI) and data analytics to develop innovative solutions that enhance business operations and decision-making.Design and implement scalable AI systems and integrate them seamlessly into Kent’s existing operational workflows.Build and operationalise AI/ML pipelines using MLOps principles for model deployment, monitoring, and iteration.Develop AI solutions tailored to the energy industry, including predictive maintenance, process optimisation, and digital twins.Manage and enhance data pipelines in Azure, ensuring data quality, security, and integrity for AI/ML model development.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and business analysts, to ensure alignment between AI solutions and business needs.Stay updated on advancements in AI technologies, particularly in the energy industry, and contribute to thought leadership through workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives.Support the long-term vision of building Kent’s AI Factory by developing reusable frameworks, templates, and processes for AI solution delivery. Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

Qualification/ Certification:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Systems Engineering, or related fields.(Preferred) Certifications in Microsoft Azure AI tools (e.g., Azure AI Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect).4+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML solution development, data analytics, Generative AI, and AI solutions design preferably within the energy or engineering industries.Experience in the energy sector is a plus.Proven experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks.Hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models at scale, with a focus on real-world applications in the energy sector. Core Competencies:Strong technical expertise in Python or R and AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.Proficiency in data engineering and management, including ETL processes and database integration using Azure tools.Experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML solutions.Knowledge of energy sector challenges and AI use cases such as predictive analytics, asset management, and carbon footprint reduction.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, multicultural environment.Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to innovation and continuous learning. Communication:Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Collaborative mindset with experience working in cross-functional teams and global networks.Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a global, multicultural environment.Flexibility in working hours to accommodate different time zones.
