Role Summary An AI Technical lead is critical in any organization looking to implement and leverage artificial intelligence successfully. They are the driving force behind the technical aspects of AI initiatives, providing expertise, guidance, and leadership to ensure the successful development and deployment of AI solutions. This position will be located in any of our Rivian locations and report to our Director of Digital Workplace & Solutions Responsibilities Technical Vision and Strategy: Define the technical vision for AI initiatives, aligning with the overall business strategy and objectives. Stay abreast of the latest AI advancements, research, and best practices. Identify and evaluate new AI technologies and tools that can benefit the organization. Solution Architecture and Development: Design and architect AI solutions that are scalable, robust, and meet business requirements. Lead the development and implementation of AI models, algorithms, and applications. Ensure the technical feasibility and viability of proposed AI solutions. Team Leadership and Mentorship: Build and manage a high-performing team of AI engineers and data scientists. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders. Effectively communicate technical concepts and progress to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with other departments to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows. Quality Assurance and Performance Optimization: Establish and enforce quality assurance processes for AI development and deployment. Monitor the performance of AI solutions and identify areas for optimization. Ensure the security, privacy, and ethical considerations of AI systems. Qualifications Strong AI/ML Expertise: Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and techniques. Extensive knowledge of LLM models, Google Gemini, Azure AI, Open AI and ChatGPT . Technical Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams. Software Engineering Skills: Proficiency in programming languages and software development practices. Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI services. Data Management: Knowledge of data structures, databases, and data management principles. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $137,800 - $172,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: $125,800 - $157,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
