CGI is looking for a front-end AI UX Developer to enhance their clients’ AI-powered chatbot. The role involves improving the chatbot’s capabilities using a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) framework to provide actionable insights from datasets.
The ideal candidate should have experience with AI projects using RAG, expertise in building rich, reactive UIs, and proficiency in modern front-end technologies like ReactJS, NextJS, and Tailwind CSS. Experience with chatbots is preferred.
AI Chatbot Development:
The current system processes user input through multiple iterations with an LLM (Claude 3.5), refining queries, generating SQL code to retrieve data from a Snowflake schema, and transforming results into chart-ready outputs with interpretive language. While functional, the chatbot requires improvements in speed, accuracy, and user experience to meet the growing demand for robust data inquiry and visualization tools.
• Feature development:
• Enabling more customizable graphing options through intuitive UI components.
• Supporting a broader array of graph types to meet diverse data visualization needs.
• Developing "modules" for recurring use cases, such as district profiles and cross-district comparisons.
• Develop tools to allow for queries about research and evidence, drawing on a catalog of loaded research papers.
• Incorporating user feedback loops to refine the LLM’s performance and responsiveness.
• Expanding the backend to ensure scalable and sustainable integration of new datasets, reducing technical barriers to future growth.
User Experience Research:
Conduct user experience (UX) research to ensure that the tools meet the needs of target users, optimizing ease of use and functionality.
Validation and Safety:
Implement strict validation protocols to ensure query responses are accurate and safe, with special attention to potential data biases and security issues related to user input.
