Job Summary:
The Linen Aide is responsible for providing linen services throughout the facility for all patients and staff in an efficient manner as directed by the department manager. They also provide a clean and sanitary facility for all patients, residents, visitors, and staff in an efficient manner as directed by the department manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Establishes linen par levels for the organization, adjusting to meet department needs. Identifies opportunities to reduce linen waste and partners with leaders to implement appropriate changes. Manages rejected linen and partners with Co-op on identified opportunities. Runs reports on linen usage and maintains linen inventory to meet organizational needs. Collects and disposes of general, recycling, hazardous and medical waste according to department policy and procedure. Follows Infection Control policies and critical aspects of standard precautions/infection control guidelines. Operates and maintains laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Performs daily, weekly, quarterly and monthly cleaning duties as written on task lists. Orientates and trains new hires in a thorough manner. Reports and documents any problems or unusual occurrences promptly to EVS manager. Problem solves using good processes independently. Other duties as assigned.

Education, Training or Degree Required:
High School graduate or equivalent preferred
License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)

Experience and Skills: (indicate preferred or required)
Minimum of one year of previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key constituents and all levels of management and employees. Computer proficiency with the ability to use email for regular communications and ongoing ordering/inventory control, is required. Experience with Excel or past Inventory-management system, preferred. Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints. Ability to work independently. Good organizational skills Good time management skills Good analytical skills Good math skills Able to demonstrate positive customer service skills
