The Job
The AIH Panama Replenishment Planner is responsible for managing and maintaining proper inventory levels for multiple product categories for Ace International’s RDC location(s). This is accomplished through the analysis of retailer demand, historical order history, end to end lead times and optimal order cycles. Core duties of the role will be around placing buys, analysis of inventory, reducing overstock and obsolete merchandise, create manual orders, prioritize PO’s, run OCO or OPA, work with merchants to plan promotions, reviews forecast and uses the Retailers POS-point of sale data to action forecasts. Forecasting demand is essential. Understanding how to calculate and use forecast accuracy, gross margin, overstock to help manage right sizing inventory across multiple markets. This role requires an individual to interact with retailers, supply chain and logistics, finance, sourcing/suppliers, and merchants.
What you’ll do:
Calculate, Review and Release Suggested Orders Creating Vendor Purchase Orders
Analyze due orders and included items using the forecast and demand history. Ensure that data collected from review of lost sales/projected outs are included in the buying process.Maintain Forecasts and Fill Rates at or Above Goals –200+ vendors, 3,500+ SKUs for AIH market.
Review weekly and monthly forecast exceptions.Report on lost sales, collaborate with sourcing, merchants, and supply chain to expedite, anticipate, and review vendor performance. Use Point of Sale data to refine forecasts and demand.Drive Accountability Across Teams on SKU Performance
Advise and collaborate on categories and SKU level performance to improve sales or anticipate end of life cycle items based on projections.Monitor new items and promotions with Merchants and Sales teams to optimizes sales opportunities.Ensure suppliers are meeting predetermined lead times and fill rates.Ensure supply chain is proactively shipping on time orders outbound.Support and Monitor Promotions
Monitor weekly, monthly promotions. Maintain high fill rate for promotional demand.Know how to use and report on key inventory metrics for promotional items performance.Suggest overstock and closeout merchandise for considerations on upcoming promotions.Item Maintenance and Set Up
Perform new item set up for vendor and item.Run annual OCO- Order Cycle OptimizationsConfirm all buying metrics are updated for lead times, case packs, minimum order amounts on annual basis or as vendor or items change.Confirm initial forecasts are loaded.Perform SKU linking for replacement items.Ensure shelf-life items have accurate timelines.Confirm seasonal items with MerchantsReview Standards and Reports
Support company initiatives and drive improvements in policies and procedures.Maintain or remove outdated processes.Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports from multiple sources for Supply Chain activities.Report key KPIs to management and identify trends, gaps, and quality controls.What you will need:
Experience and Technical Requirements:
College degree or equivalent work experienceSAP or SAP Business One knowledge preferred.JDA or Blue Ridge Forecasting experience preferred.Logistic knowledge a plusInvestigative mind set – to find root causes of lost sales or profit.Strong Collaborative skills for working cross-functionally.
