ABOUT THIS POSITION
Join a diverse team of talented and inspired engineers and analysts developing US Army Air and Missile Defense systems in Huntsville, Alabama. The AMD JLVC Project Manager (PjM) will support various government customers in the testing of Air and Missile Defense (AMD) systems in all-domain JLVC test venues. This role involves operating within distributed Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) JLVC test environments, integrating systems and labs of various levels of fidelity from prototype simulations to live tactical hardware across the Joint force. Test events vary from routine operational testing of existing tactical systems to live flight, live fire Advanced Concept Technology Demonstrations (ACTDs). The PjM must be experienced in managerial, operational, and business development roles and will be expected to provide strategic planning support for test events; coordinate between software developers, analysis teams, test teams and stakeholders; develop and deliver reports to leadership on cost, schedule, performance and risk; interact with government customers on a regular basis; and coordinate and conduct briefings to demonstrate JLVC AMD functionality to VIPs during live test events. The position is a full-time, on contractor site position located in Huntsville, AL just outside of Redstone Arsenal Gate 9 in Redstone Gateway. The PjM works as a member of an experienced team that includes software developers, weapons analysts and an operational test team. Expect up to 20% travel to remote test environments working in austere conditions with unusual hours.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Business, Engineering or possess equivalent years of experienceMinimum 10 years of related experienceDemonstrated project management experience, including contracts and programmatic customer interactionProficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledgeAbility to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedulesEffective verbal and written communication skills; ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences or facilitate group discussions and develop accurate written materials to clearly and concisely communicate informationAbility to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of program operations requirementsAbility to build solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customersCandidate must be a US CitizenAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Security ClearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with Link 16 and other Tactical Data Links (TDL)Air Defense Command and Control / Air Battle Management experienceKnowledge of Integrated Fire Control Networks (IFCN, CEC, MADL, IFDL, etc.)Experience leading integrated system test eventsKnowledge of Real-time distributed simulation infrastructuresBackground in DoD Operational Testing (OT) and Development Testing (DT)Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationWHO WE ARE:
