Air Compliance Specialist

The Opportunity

 

The Air Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and maintaining accurate records related to air quality and safety. This role involves a blend of administrative duties, such as onboarding and training management, and hands-on tasks, including inspections and compliance checks. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to upholding environmental standards.

Key Job Responsibilities

 

Conduct daily inspections several times per week to ensure compliance with environmental regulations Perform Marport inspections and AO (Air Quality) inspections Retrieve and manage training records for IDEM (Indiana Department of Environmental Management) compliance Conduct satellite accumulation checks multiple times per week Input spill reports into the system promptly Create accounts for all applicable training needs for new hires, weekly  Ensure documentation is received from People & Culture for each new hire Input all observations into Intelex and distribute relevant information to managers  Set up new hires in various systems (Intelex, Latitude, Hazwoper, Payroll)  Retrieve training records for new hires and update with permanent payroll numbers  Update training records in Intelex daily for all employees, including data from sign-in sheets Perform weekly updates for training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred At least 1 year of experience in environmental compliance or a similar role Familiarity with Intelex, Latitude, Hazwoper, and other relevant systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge of IDEM regulations and other relevant environmental laws
