Responsibilities You will replace major portions of cooling nits such as compressors, condensers, expansion valves, floats and service files, thermostats, coils, and drive assemblies. You will interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. You will test small units and systems using compound refrigeration gauges and ammeters to locate worn and broken parts. You will use all trade tools and test equipment and instruments to include voltage, amperage, electronic refrigerant leak detectors, capacitor analyzers, etc. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
