Scope of Position
Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service within the Air Export Department.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following; other duties may be assigned.
Ensure smooth and timely freight process flowEnsure accurate and timely data entry into our operational systemTrack and Trace Air Export Files and reporting, using Workflow and/or all other available tools and reportsEnsure accurate and timely client and vendors billingInteract with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standardsContribute to maintain good relationships with suppliers (Airline carriers, trucking companies and others involved)Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulationsProcessing export shipments (pickup, receiving in system, AES filing, processing dangerous goods, booking with airline among other)Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivityEnsure all customers standard operating procedures are in place and updated as neededMeet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s proceduresOverseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)Escalation of problems to Management when necessaryPerform labeling as needed (ensure freight is checked to avoid cross labeling/miss-routes)Communicate closely with the warehouse for upstream processWork On-site as backup when neededTraining Requirements: Meet company standards of 52 hours training per year. Make sure all mandatory training and any training required to perform warehouse duties is current.
Standard Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday thru Friday, ability to support the needs of the department afterhours.

6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceUnderstanding of air documentation process a plusEffective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsPro-active, strong organizational skillsGood computer skills (Excel, Word) IATA certification (would be a plus) Fluent in English

Expected base salary: $20-$25/ hr
