Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Chicago site is looking for a new Gateway & Procurement Specialist to join our Air Logistics team. Your Role The Air Import Gateway Agent is responsible for handling inbound air import shipments. This role involves close teamwork to track, trace, and follow up on shipments via email and phone as necessary. Your Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service and on-going commitment to quality and data integrityInteract and collaborate closely with the air import departments in the regionArrange bookings with carriers; optimize cargo consolidationsEnsure timely processing and pickup from the airport, constant communication with the warehouse team and truck dispatchTrack & trace shipments; monitor vendor performance; address and resolve service irregularitiesContribute to maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal customersMaintain compliance standards at all times, including internal policies and procedures, external government regulations and customer requirementsReport to Area Air Logistics Gateway & Procurement ManagerSchedule: An 8-hour shift between the hours of 6:30am- 6:00pm, flexibility required to work any day of the week including weekends and some holidays Your Skills and Experiences Bachelor's degree supply chain management or equivalent experience 2+ years of Air logistics or air cargo experience2+ years of customer service experience Good Reasons to Join There has never been a better time to work in logistics.
