Dewberry is currently seeking an Airborne Acquisition Operations Manager in our Tampa, FL office. Ideal candidate will work out of our Tampa, FL office, but remote work may be acceptable. We would also consider candidates living near one of our other office locations throughout the US. Position may require up 25% travel depending on work location. Typical responsibilities are to work on Remote Sensing related projects for state and federal clients across the US.
Position requires experience in GIS and remote sensing. Preferred experience in survey technology including lidar and photogrammetry. Candidate should have strong conceptual understanding of geodesy, remote sensing, and GIS. Experience in topo-bathymetric lidar is also a plus.

Responsibilities
Position requires experience in airborne lidar acquisition operations. Preferred experience using mainstream commercial airborne lidar sensors (RIEGL, Leica, Teledyne Optech) and large-format cameras in fixed wing platforms. Candidate should have strong conceptual understanding of fixed wing airborne sensor operations and logistics. Experience in coordinating multiple project acquisitions and sensor operator rotations is a plus. Additional preferred experience includes working with sensor hardware vendors and aviation operators.
