The AEH (Airborne Electronic Hardware) Certification Engineer is responsible for finding compliance as a subject matter expert to civil regulations (RTCA/DO-254, Advisory Circulars, Issue Papers, CRIs, CFR, CS, CAR, CAAC, etc.) involving Intellectual Property, Commercial integrated devices, commercial subassemblies, and circuit board assemblies. Lead programs in determining product certification strategy and certification basisLead compliance planning and determination of means of complianceInterpret aircraft regulatory material and determine project impactAudit project / product artifacts and verification activities to assess compliance with the certification basisChampion minimum effort solutions for meeting civil complianceAssess changes to approved/certified products to determine minor or major classificationProvide technical leadership and technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel including approval/sign-off of Certification documentationDocument technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and proceduresBasic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)Minimum of 10 years of direct design experience/knowledge with ASIC, FPGA, CPLD technologiesMinimum of 5 years working with regulatory compliance related to Advisory Circular 20-152 and RTCA/DO-254Eligibility Requirements
