Airbus UpNext Spain has the ambition to deliver a disruptive and innovative project to contribute to the evaluation of an innovative more electric architecture with the aim to provide aircraft non propulsive energy (NPE).
We open 2 positions of Control System Engineer within the Airbus UpNext subsidiary in Spain.
This job consists of a limited contact estimated to last until the end of 2027.
Mission
The demonstrator will integrate complex systems including energy storage, electrical power generation, electrical distribution and conversion, fuel storage and distribution, pneumatic systems, thermal systems and control and monitoring systems within a ground test facility. Those systems will include novel technologies for aviation, and will be integrated in a new system architecture with new operational constraints.
The role of the Control System Engineer will be to contribute to the development of the architecture, specification, design and V&V strategy of the equipment and components (including software) associated with the Control Systems required for the demonstrator systems.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Support to the Control system specification, development of detailed architecture, equipment and component selection Support to the Control system software specification, design, implementation, validation and verificationSupport to the Control system software specification, design, implementation, validation and verificationSupport to the Control system integration test bench specification, design, implementation, and validation which will be used for the Control System hardware and software design validation and verification activities Support to the Control system integration and ground test verification activities required for a multi-system test bench.The responsibilities and the technical scope of the job might evolve according to the agile working environment of the project, so being flexible is important.

You are able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
At least 5 years’ experience in Control systems design and integration activities
Proven background on Electrical and Control & Monitoring systems design and integration
Experience in supplier management activities
Master degree in Engineering
Keen to take initiatives to propose simpler and efficient ways of working
Ready to step out of your comfort zone
Autonomy, Adaptability, Availability, Accountability
Team-Player mindset
Hands-on and solution oriented attitude
