Responsibilities You will perform work involved in routine disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, and installation of aircraft electrical systems, equipment, and accessories used on fixed and rotary wing aircraft. You will correct minor discrepancies by removal, repair, or replacement of defective circuits, wires, connectors, control units, and other parts of aircraft electrical systems. You will perform limited functional checks on existing and newly installed aircraft electrical systems, equipment, and cables to check continuity, resistance, amperage, and insulation breakdown with specialized tooling and equipment. You will use common hand and power tools and test equipment to facilitate rework operations. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Using blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical manuals; Using common hand and power tools and equipment; Utilizing various types of wires, cables, and connectors in aircraft electrical systems; and Applying knowledge of electrical theory, principles, and circuitry. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
