Reports to: Aircraft Fuel Procurement and Strategy Manager
The role is part of a global team in our Procurement and Aircraft Trading (APD) department who are dedicated to creating strong partnerships which help us understand the cost drivers and remove non value-adding cost, creating brand value through a compliant, ethical and sustainable manner that balances business needs and corporate responsibility.
As the Aircraft Fuel Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the definition of the sourcing strategies for fuel uplift in Hong Kong, Japan and the outports, and for managing the supplier relationship management process adhering to quality and regulatory standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesExecute the fuel procurement and commercial strategy for Hong Kong, Japan and other outports within the Cathay Group networkManage fuel sourcing projects and suppliers relationship to ensure optimal outcomesConduct market analysis and identify trends that may positively or negatively impact the companyDevelop and implement new fuel supply proceduresFoster a high-performance culture and standards within Procurement and Aircraft Trading Department (APD) communityIdentify and execute long-term LEAN projects that benefit the category strategyRequirements
5 years' relevant fuel supply, operations and refuelling management experience.University graduate in related discipline.Procurement and Category Management experience is essential.Understanding of regulatory requirements and basic contract law.Strong commercial acumen and understanding of finance/accounting principles.Ability to inspire, and build trust and respect among the APD community.Excellent people skills; including the ability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to define and implement strategies.Performance management skills.English proficiency required and Japanese is a preference and added advantagePersonal & Application Information
