About ATAC
Textron Airborne Solutions provides training opportunities for military customers. Within this company is Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC), which provides tactical flight training and adversary services. Textron’s extensive global reach – makes for an incomparable training resource. ATAC provides tactical flight training and adversary aggressor services for U.S. Navy, Marine and Air Force pilots, and is the only organization certified to train the Navy’s TOPGUN program. ATAC operates simultaneously across five sites and two continents and comprises the world’s largest outsourced civilian, tactical airborne training organization and proudly provides the highest quality live training to Squadrons, Air Wings, and Battle Groups. Summary
The Aircraft Logs Records Technician reports to the Aircraft Maintenance Administration Manager and assists with the collection, filing, and retention of aircraft and engine logbooks and associated records. Performs data entry and retrieval functions associated with aircraft recordkeeping. Transmits and receives data via network connections, email, and other electronic means. Extracts data, formulates and interprets reports, creates archives. Performs a range of clerical and administrative tasks related to aircraft maintenance, such as preparing reports, filing and typing, formatting documents, and updating and analyzing aircraft maintenance databases.
Job Responsibilities
• Assists with the tracking, recording, and cataloging flight log data and component history cards for all aircraft. This includes updating flight records, engine parts trackers, and maintenance tracking databases.
• Assists with the collection, filing, and retention of aircraft and engine maintenance forms and records.
• Maintains the maintenance database utilizing Maintenance Information System software.
• Updates aircraft status reports and informs proper employees of upcoming time change items and inspections.
• Supports the Maintenance and Quality Assurance departments with implementing changes to maintenance department procedures, policies, and work instructions.
Primary Objectives:
• Aircraft safety through accurate and timely reporting of aircraft status to company employees.
• Updating of company maintenance information systems database and other aircraft and engine records.
• Performing administrative functions related to aircraft maintenance.
