We are now recruiting for an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures position based at RAAF Williamtown.

As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for but not limited to Structures aircraft and component servicing requirements, provide direction and supervision to subordinate employees as necessary, and undertake Structures Quality Inspection activities in support of Product Support & Maintenance (PS&M), Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services - Williamtown. This includes support for Aircraft and Aircraft Component maintenance activities.

This role involves the following key duties and responsibilities:

Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of activities, requiring the application of training provided in accordance with the appropriate documentation (publications, documents, engineering drawings, etc).Contributes to improvements in the performance of the team (and the organisation generally) by proposing solutions to problems and more effective methods of work.Ensuring all maintenance tasks carried out are IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentation.Promoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and procedures.Liaise with 21J Design Organisation and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation in relation to repair design and incorporation.Be available for both A Shift and B Shift, rostering in rotation with other section members.

BDA requires all applicants to be able to demonstrate the following essential qualifications:

Certificate IV in Aero skills (Structures)Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) proceduresHold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1Meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS)Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety proceduresHold a C class driver's license

Desirable Criteria:

Previous BOEING 737 Aircraft Structures experience.Elevated Work Platform TLILIC2005A or equivalentWork Safely at Heights RIIOHS204A or equivalentComposite repair training IAW DASR 145.A.30(f) AMC1. (Composite Specialist Course (216309) or equivalent Adhesive Bonding Techniques (112570))Composite and Bonding recertification - currency within the last 3 years (36 months)Confined Space training
