The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.
Role Description:
Assist the Senior Aircraft Maintenance Instructor in the development, planning, scheduling, and coordination of training requirements for Host Nation and contractor personnel in aviation maintenance. Perform aircraft maintenance platform training and related peripheral maintenance activities orientations, as well as instruction, principally on, but not limited to, various UH-60 Black Hawk-type aircraft models. Conduct hands-on training tasks, skills development, and other activities in English and Spanish, principally Spanish, as a Platform Instructor and On-the-Job Trainer.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop formal classroom courseware to ISD standards in English and Spanish to ensure compliance with program training objectives, standards, and procedures for UH-60 series helicopters.Utilizes training documents and exam control measures of courses, and hands-on evaluations.Document student progress.Train, monitor, and evaluate aviation maintenance Students while conducting scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance, and inspections of aircraft and equipment conditions to ensure safety of flight compliance with technical directives, maintenance directives, and OSHA and Department of State regulations.Provide on-the-spot instruction to maintenance personnel as necessary.Ensures compliance with USG and Company workplace and aviation maintenance safety practices, including FOD Control, Tool Room procedures, and environmental safety.Assist the Senior Aircraft Maintenance Instructor in the use of an aircraft maintenance database related to aircraft maintenance training and other office applications to track and report training and certification of INL/A program personnel.Perform other duties as assigned.#LI-SA1

Required:
Six (6) years’ experience as a licensed, FAA Airframe and Power Plant mechanic or equivalent, i.e., General Directorate for Civil Aviation (DGAC) for South America, mechanic on UH-60 series aircraft.Three (3) years’ experience as a platform, hands-on Instructor in an aviation maintenance training program/school (i.e., INL/A program, USAALS, IAAFA, BAMC, and/or Fort Rucker) or other accredited aviation maintenance training school.Experience in courseware development for aircraft systems.Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance management programs.Must have thorough knowledge of hand tools, hardware, and equipment used in the maintenance of aircraft.Must be fully knowledgeable of all requirements within the Technical Orders as they apply.Ability to interpret technical data.Working knowledge of Quality Control programs, OSHA, and Department of State regulationsEffective interpretation skills for inspection duty, and an ability to analyze inspection findings.Ability to travel to remote locations periodically.Bi-lingual; English / Spanish language proficiency level 2 requiredActive or ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Passport before assignment (if U.S. citizen).Ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) through the Department of State or Host Nation US Embassy if local nationalAbility to obtain and maintain a Peruvian VisaCompensation and Benefits:
