Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering Specialist Job Number: 355233 Category: -MFG & Supply Chain SBU Description: Job Title: Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering Specialist Location: San Antonio, TX 78226 (onsite) Area Code: 210, 726 Pay Rate: $45.00-55.00/hour Shift: 1st Employment Type: Full Time, Direct Job Summary We are seeking a Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering Specialist with extensive experience in aircraft operations, troubleshooting, and systems integration in demanding shipside environments. This role is critical in supporting aircraft build, integration, testing, and evaluation, ensuring operational readiness, and resolving engineering and manufacturing issues. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset to support aircraft production and maintenance. Key Responsibilities: * Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary interface between engineering, manufacturing, production teams, and suppliers, ensuring smooth aircraft integration and troubleshooting technical issues. * Engineering & Production Support: Resolve engineering challenges throughout design, development, and production phases, mitigating risks related to materials, manufacturing processes, and production constraints. * Customer & Stakeholder Communication: Address customer technical requirements, provide updates on engineering changes, and resolve non-conformances that impact delivery schedules. * Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to FAA, AS9100, and aerospace quality standards, collaborating with quality teams to resolve defects and maintain compliance. * Hands-On Aircraft Support: Assist in the installation, testing, and validation of new aircraft systems and components, providing hands-on engineering support as needed. * Documentation & Change Management: Review, approve, and manage engineering change orders (ECOs), ensuring proper documentation and communication with all stakeholders. * Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiency improvements, optimizing manufacturing and integration processes while reducing costs and maintaining high-quality standards. * Problem Solving Under Pressure: Address production-related challenges quickly and effectively, maintaining composure in high-stakes environments. Required Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor"s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required). * Experience: 5 or more years in aerospace engineering, with at least 2 years in a design-to-manufacturing role. * Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of aerospace systems, materials, manufacturing processes, and regulatory standards (FAA, AS9100, ISO 9001). * Communication & Collaboration: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work with cross-functional teams. * Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail: Strong analytical mindset, capable of providing innovative solutions while maintaining high levels of accuracy and precision. * Software Proficiency: Experience with CAD software (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks), PLM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
