**Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic** **Job Description** The contractor will work on an aircraft conversion program and heavy maintenance, primarily focusing on the Q400 conversion to aerial firefighting. The role involves basic mechanical work, including engine checks, wheel changes, structural inspections, and overall repairs. This is a long-term, full-time contractor position. **Responsibilities** + Perform heavy maintenance checks on aircraft. + Conduct thorough aircraft mechanical work, including troubleshooting and repair. + Work on Q400 conversion to aerial firefighting. + Perform engine checks, wheel changes, and structural inspections. + Carry out overall aircraft repairs. + Collaborate with team members in various divisions and facilities as needed. **Essential Skills** + AME M2 licensed (4-5 years of Canadian aviation experience without a license will be considered). + 2+ years of Canadian experience. + 2+ years of heavy maintenance experience. + Current Human Factors & WHMIS Certification (from 2021 onwards). + Q400 experience. + Must own tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Dash 8 Q400 Endorsement. + Experience in the North (Yukon, NW Territories). + B737 experience. + Line maintenance experience. + Interiors experience. + Willingness to work independently and as part of a team. + Possess a positive attitude. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy stable and consistent work with busy projects year-round.
