Job Title: A&P Mechanic
Job Description

The A&P Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, inspects, and performs maintenance on customer aircraft. All work is performed and documented in accordance with appropriate manuals and regulations.

ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, install, inspect, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations.Operate ground support equipment as required.Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.Assist with fuel and/or de-fuel of aircraft as needed.Assist with engine removal and installation.Assist with aircraft component repair.Essential SkillsA&P CertificateAt least 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience or substantiated equivalent experienceAbility to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawingsEffective communication skills in both written and verbal formsOwnership of a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of toolsAbility to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as requiredCapability to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled workdays and holidaysAbility to work in seasonal/inclement weather conditionsAbility to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge (if applicable)Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with corporate jet aircraft, military fixed-wing, or commercial aircraft - preferredBasic PC skills - preferredWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

Second Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am. Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday, 3/12's schedule, working 36 hours but paid for 40.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr.
