Aircraft Mechanic - Avionics - RAFB

General Description\n

Support daily repair and manufacturing operations for incoming workload for C-5, C-17, C-130, F-15, J-STARS, RQ-4, Global Hawk and other workload as required.\n

Duties\n\nInstall, modify, overhaul, maintain troubleshoot, repair, rebuild integrated electronic systems such as fire control, ballistic missile control, missile guidance, etc. \nSet up and operate software controlled automated test equipment to test and troubleshoot integrated systems\nUse and maintain hand and power tools, precision measurement tools and test equipment\nPerform pre-test, operational or final testing of electronic systems, components, or subassemblies\nPerform final tuning, alignment or calibration of electronic systems, components or subassemblies\nInterpret complex drawings, specifications and schematics\nOther duties as assigned\n\n

Education\/Experience Requirements\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nMust have at least four years of recent verifiable experience \nKnowledge of electronic theories and practices of complex integrated systems\nKnowledge of reading, interpreting and tracing drawings and schematic diagrams. \nExperience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills, wrenches, soldering irons, and micro soldering units\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust be able to pass a background check, which could include a criminal history and credit check for access to Government facilities.\nMust have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
