Aircraft Mechanic II

Location - California, MD 

 

Requirements:

Performs routine aircraft maintenance functionsMust demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component partsOperates aircraft towing equipment in towing operations. Maintains aircraft hydraulic systemsHave knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenanceAble to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives, guides and forms used on the jobPerform preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystemsPerform  troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems, including fuel, oil and hydraulic systemsOverhaul aircraft components and sub-components.Perform functional checks, inspections, troubleshooting as required and trainedComplete maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA, and required forms, as required by job assignment

 

Qualifications:

Must show proficiency in the use of OOMA within 90 days after assignmentMust be skill qualified in a primary MOS from any of the following OccFlds: 6113/6173, Aircraft Maintenance, equivalent skill designation from other services or possess valid FAA Airframe and Power plant Certification.Must have four (4) years' minimum experience rotary wing aircraftHigh school diploma or equivalent--General Educational Development (GED) certificatePrior CDI preferredMust have or be able to obtain a secret clearance and base access.
