Aircraft Mechanic II - UH-60

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:\n\nWill perform UH-60A\/L\/M aircraft maintenance as assigned. Must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting\/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal\/structural modification and repair, and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.\n\n

DUTIES:\n\nMaintains, repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components, and engines of complex to extreme difficulty.\nMaintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components.\nUse technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.\nSolve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.\nUtilize aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc.\nProvide technical support to structural\/mechanical engineers and customers.\nUtilize excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.\nMake entries in aircraft logs and records.\nProvide guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and\/or maintenance efforts.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n

EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent is required\nFAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate is a plus\n2 years of H-60 experience is required\nUH-60 (15T) course is a plus\nMust be a U.S. Citizen \nMust have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance\nProficiency in MS Office suite\nMust be thoroughly familiar with AR 95-20, DA PAM 738-751, AR 700-138, and all associated aircraft maintenance manuals\nMust have own tools and ability to meet minimum tool list requirements, applying FOD and tool control best practices in accordance with AR 95-20 and Flight and Ground Operating Procedures.\n\n
