GENERAL DESCRIPTION\n\nAs an aircraft electrician, candidate will be responsible to perform, oversee and provide guidance with various types of fabrication and installation of harnesses that control complex components on aircraft, such as engines, propeller systems, and flight control systems. Candidate will support live testing of engines and propellers, flight line servicing, towing, and delivery of aircraft. \n\n
DUTIES\n\nPerform complex assembly and installation of a wide range of aircraft electrical components, to include wire harnesses, connector assemblies, relay panels, circuit breaker panels, line replacement units (LRU) and any other required components per program specifications. \nRead and interpret service guidance such as job guides or engineering drawings to provide technical input for the developmental process of work instructions and processes as required.\nPerform fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting of control, power, Video and RF cables.\nUse both In-Shop and Flight-line test equipment for aircraft testing, support, and servicing.\nWork as a Team Leader supporting workflow and task assignments when required by supervision.\nProvide technical direction, training, and guidance to lower-level technicians as necessary.\nPerform in-process inspections for proper component assembly, installation conformity, and testing acceptance.\nPerform in-depth Foreign Object & Debris (FOD) inspections or \"Clean as you go\" as required.\nTravel may be required, 10%.\nOther Duties as Assigned\n\n
EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS \n\nHigh school diploma or graduate equivalency.\nAssociates Degree or Graduate of a technical school is desired.\nPrior formal training, military or commercial, with ability to provide documented evidence.\nA&P license preferred.\nForeign Object & Debris inspection processes and mitigation. \nMinimum of seven (7) years of significant experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance\/repair of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.\nProficiency required in use of multiple types of electrical hand tools, such as crimpers, insertion and de-pinning tools, heat guns, soldering stations, multimeters, and bonding meters.\nMust be proficient in use of calibrated tooling, measuring tools, and test instruments.\nMust have or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.\n\n
