Description:What You Will Be Doing
We are currently seeking a dedicated Aircraft Mechanic to join our dynamic team, focusing on the F-35 aircraft. This position will serve as a subject-matter expert on nose-to-tail maintenance operations on the F-35 airframe as part of a dedicated maintenance team based at Amendola Italy. This pivotal role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including aiding our Italian customer with repairing and returning their aircraft to an airworthy condition with the goal of increasing aircraft availability across the gamut of operations. Job requirements include but are not limited to:

• Incumbent must be a self-starter, ability to make timely decisions, and willing to learn all facets of the nose-to-tail maintenance concept of the F-35 aircraft while supporting maintenance and operational requirements.
• Additionally, this position may be utilized to augment the Aeronautics Field Sustainment training team in the support of training operations on site. This position will be part of the larger Interim Contractor Support (ICS) infrastructure at an F-35 site.
• Perform maintenance activities in order to accomplish “over-the-shoulder”, On-the-Job Training support and primarily as Lockheed Martin "Touch Labor" to perform maintenance within the organic Italian maintenance organization.
• Must be willing to travel and go on Temporary Duty Assignments (TDYs) as required to support customer requirements. TDY Support shall include deployments aboard navy ships in support Italian customer.
• US Department of Defense (DOD) mandated vaccinations may be required depending on deployment locations.
• Travel to hazardous locations or support of locations in conflict may be required.
• Must be willing to work any shift including weekends to support customer needs.
• Physical Requirements: Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must possess at minimum a Final Secret Security Clearance.
• Must possess a current US Passport.

Basic Qualifications:
• Must have 2-years of hands-on F-35 maintenance experience to include working experience and knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include, Anomaly Fault Resolution System, Customer Relationship Management, Joint Technical Data Navigation, Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities, Configuration Management and forms documentation and supply chain management activities.

• Requires minimum of 4 years hands-on working experience in 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, or CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or equivalent on Fighter Attack Aircraft.

• Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous maintenance activities and supervise other maintenance activities on aircraft. Develop work schedules and assign tasks to other maintenance team members. Working experience and knowledge of activities such as aircraft forms documentation and supply chain management activities. Provide On-The Job Training (OJT) as required to newly hired ICS team members and International country organic maintainers as required. Ensures good housekeeping and safety practices are enforced.
Desired Skills:
• An FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license is desirable.

• Proficiency with LM’s F-35 Nose-to-Tail maintenance concept.

• Low Observable/Structures Maintenance Experience.

• Avionics Systems Maintenance Experience.

• Weapons/Egress Systems Maintenance Experience.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
