The role
As an Aircraft Mechanical Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Aircraft Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining airworthiness, compliance and output through appropriate task delegation and supervision.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

Carry out 1st and 2nd signature responsibilities. Supervise work carried out by employees under his/her control to ensure compliance and airworthiness. Carry out flight servicing. Maintain an effective changeover by debriefs or written log to provide a smooth transition and continuation of trade tasks, between each shift where and when applicable.

    
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and is based on site at RAF Waddington.

Essential experience of the Aircraft Mechanical Supervisor:

Previous engineering background showing knowledge and understanding to apply technical practical skills. Aviation Experience  Knowledge of Quality (QMS), Safety (SMS) and Environmental Management Systems  Knowledge of MOD policy documentation and organisation including Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations  Ability to use information systems and use appropriate resources management and production planning skills.

Qualifications for the Aircraft Mechanical Supervisor:

Supervisors in Aviation training  Mechanical Systems Type course.  Training in an Aircraft related discipline to City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent (NVQ Level 3)

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
